A Six-Month Intensive for Grassroots Nonprofits
The SA912 Nonprofit Bootcamp is a hybrid learning experience designed for small and emerging nonprofits ready to build capacity, structure, and sustainability.
Through virtual classes, in-person workshops, peer coaching, and one-on-one mentorship, participants learn to:
Strengthen board governance and leadership practices
Develop fundable programs and logic models
Write competitive grants and diversify funding sources
Implement transparent fiscal systems
Align staffing, strategy, and impact measurement
Leverage AI for daily operations and communications
Each organization leaves the Bootcamp with a customized nonprofit blueprint, including a master proposal, budget, logic model, and sustainability plan, all ready for submission to funders and implementation.

A Six-Month Intensive for Grassroots Nonprofits
The SA912 Nonprofit Bootcamp is a six-month AI-enhanced leadership and capacity-building program, supported by funding provided by the Mecklenburg County Department of Public Health. The program is designed for grassroots and faith-based nonprofits within their first 1–5 years of operation. Through hybrid workshops, executive coaching, and peer collaboration, participants learn to strengthen their structure, increase funding readiness, and build long-term sustainability. Each cohort completes the program with a ready-to-implement organizational blueprint that includes a master grant proposal, a logic model, an operating budget, and a sustainability plan. Virtual Workshops: 2x monthly via Zoom
In-Person 1/2 day Intensives Workshops: Nov 13th, Jan 8th, March 6th
Incentive-Based Executive Coaching: Monthly 1:1 coaching sessions

Eligibility
This program is open to:
✅ Nonprofits and community-based organizations operating between 1–5 years
✅ Faith-based organizations or ministries seeking to formalize operations
✅ Organizations based in Charlotte-Mecklenburg County
✅ Entities with a defined mission and active or emerging leadership team
✅ Founders or executive leaders committed to consistent engagement and learning
Prior grant funding is not required to apply.
Technology Requirements & Digital Readiness
Because SA912 Nonprofit University integrates AI and digital learning tools throughout the Bootcamp, participants must meet the following technology standards:
💻 Required Skills & Access:
Basic email proficiency (sending, receiving, and attaching files)
Ability to use cloud-based platforms such as Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
Familiarity with accessing and uploading to shared drives or folders
Reliable internet access throughout the program
Access to a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and a microphone
Ability to join Zoom for virtual classes and meetings
🧠 Participants will receive a brief digital readiness checklist during onboarding to ensure smooth participation.
How to Apply
Complete the online application form below by the application deadline of Saturday, Nov.1st, 2025
Upload your organization’s IRS determination letter or fiscal sponsor agreement.
Attach your most recent budget or income/expense statement.
Applications are reviewed by the SA912 selection committee.
Accepted organizations will receive a confirmation email with onboarding instructions.

Program Requirements & Expectations
Participants must:
Complete an initial Organizational Assessment & Review upon acceptance in the program
Attend at least 80% of all sessions
Complete assigned coursework, templates, and coaching check-ins
Participate in peer learning sessions and discussions
Complete a minimum of 80% of the assigned Nonprofit Action Plan Task
Submit a final organizational blueprint consisting of:
Logic model
Annual operating budget
Master grant proposal
Sustainability plan
Graduates receive a Certificate of Nonprofit Capacity Achievement from SA912 Nonprofit University and the Mecklenburg County Department of Public Health
Program Value
The total program value exceeds $10,000 per organization, but accepted organizations will participate at no cost thanks to the generous support provided by the Mecklenburg County Department of Public Health Community Grants Division.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many people from my organization can participate?
A: Each organization may include up to three representatives (e.g., Executive Director, Board Chair, Program Staff). For in-person workshops, the maximum attendance is two per organization. For virtual sessions, up to three attendees from your organization may attend. We strongly encourage having at least one board member participate in this process.
Q: Where and at what time are the in-person workshops held?
A: There will be three in-person workshops held at the Valeie C. Woodard Center located at 3205 Freedom Dr., Charlotte, NC 28208. The program Kick-OFF & Orientation Session is schedule for Thursday, November 13th, from 11:30 am-5:30 pm. Attendance will be mandatory for the entire half-day workshop. The full schedule through June 2026 will be provided to you at the kick-off event.
Q: Are sessions recorded?
A: Yes, virtual sessions are recorded, and you are expected to go back and watch them once they become available on our YouTube page at your convenience. In-person sessions should not be missed. These are one-time only sessions, with no time in the schedule for make-up. Missing an in-person session will trigger your organization's removal from the program.
Q: Do we need to bring any materials?
A: All materials and AI-enhanced templates are provided digitally through your SA912 Google Classroom Learning Portal.
